“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:19–21
Every golfer knows the feeling of chasing something, a lower score, a perfect swing, a new piece of gear that promises a little extra confidence on the course. But Jesus’ words remind us to pause and ask what we’re really storing up.
The treasures that last aren’t found in our bags or bank accounts. They’re found in how we love, serve, and build the Kingdom with what we’ve been given. The peace that comes from faith, the relationships we invest in, and the purpose we walk out daily, those are the eternal rewards that can’t be taken away.
So as you step onto the course or into your week, ask yourself: what am I chasing?
Play with purpose, not pressure. Build your game and your life around treasures that last forever.
