Love Like This

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” – John 13:34

Love is easy when it’s convenient. When people are kind, when the moment is right, when it costs us nothing.
But Jesus calls us to a different standard.

In John 13:34, He doesn’t just suggest love—He commands it. And not just any love, but His kind of love. The kind that is patient, sacrificial, and unconditional. The kind that doesn’t measure what’s fair, but gives freely.

On the course, it’s natural to celebrate the great shots and get frustrated at the bad ones. But just like golf requires grace, for yourself and others, so does life. Loving one another means offering encouragement when it’s needed most, extending patience when tempers flare, and choosing unity over division.

Jesus loved us in our weakness, in our failures, and in our flaws. That’s the example we’re called to follow. To love in a way that goes beyond comfort and reflects Christ.

This week, let’s put love into practice. On the course, in our homes, in our communities—choose the kind of love that changes people. Because when we love like Him, the Kingdom shows up.
